Web Flasher
Connect a supported Waveshare board over USB and install a complete OpenDrift factory image. No account, source compilation, VS Code, or command line required.
Before connecting
Make the Waveshare board safe.
Web Serial requires Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer and the page must be served over HTTPS.
Use a data cable
A charge-only cable can power the board but cannot transfer firmware.
Close serial tools
Close PlatformIO monitors and anything else currently holding the USB port.
Select hardware
Choose the exact Waveshare board.
Both Waveshare boards use an ESP32-S3, so the browser cannot identify the attached Waveshare board automatically.
Open Beta flashing is live.Select both the Waveshare board and receiver connection used by your car. PWM and CRSF tunes are stored separately.
The latest release is recommended. Older versions are provided for rollback and testing.
AMOLED installation stays locked until its PCB revision is selected. The Round board does not use this selector.

Round firmware remains available by selecting v1.0.7c. It is not included in v1.0.8; AMOLED remains the primary target.

Connection recovery
Board not detected?

Keep USB connected and hold the BOOT button.

While holding BOOT, press and release RESET.

Release BOOT, click Install again, and select the new serial port.
Installation complete
Reconnect. Open the configurator. Set endpoints.
Reconnect the receiver and servo only after the USB installation has finished, then join the board's OpenDrift Wi-Fi network.
